Quite good, this one. However, please put the music at the end on quieter because I often listen to your podcasts in the night to help me sleep and the blessed 'music' wakes me up: very annoying.

It is Staufenbiel there is no R in it xD and to say au in german/dutch it looks like ow from the word cow in english so when you say Stowfenbiel you should say it right like how it need to be said 😜

Hey, Chris, I always love listening to your podcasts when I'm in the car, either on my monthly two hour roadtrips or spread out over a day or two of my daily commutes. Let me just say that honestly, we don't mind if you guys ramble off topic occassionally or if the studio quality is just a little raw. Feels more like we're really there with you so don't sweat it 😁 I was wondering if you guys ever check out FoxTech for fpv or miltirotor stuff. I just saw a neat little camera/tx called the Sky hd-01 (by Skyzone, maybe?). Says it's 1080p and has an integrated vtx for $99. Aeems worth a look. Also, ever check out Ali Shanmao's tilt rotor mini quad? I see that concept catching on in mini quad racing in the future. I'm sure Alex has peeked at it. Anyway, take care and happy landings. - Jason from Apple Valley, Minnesota.

Ep. 87 says GP I have seen it used in a lot of places. I am a bit of a noob so what does it mean? There are a lot of acronyms and abbreviations I see in the hobby and have no idea what some of them are.

GP stands for "Grand Prix";
FC stands for "Flight Controller";
FF stands for "Free Flight" (or Flite Fest);
CL stands for "Control Line";
FPV stands for First Person View; and
FT stands for Flite Test!

If you are a subscriber to the AMA's Model Aviation magazine, you can find a list of all the acronyms related to flight.

I hope this helps!

I did not get to listen yet but I did just read the article about the lawsuit, someone commented that the faa is trying to fine a company for violating rules that weren't in place at the time of the incidents is just flat out false, although there were no regulations in regards to "drones", it has always been a rule that, to operate an aircraft, manned or unmanned, in class bravo airspace you need to either have prior Atc authorization or you need to have two way radio communications with the Control Tower servicing the airspace and an operating mode c transponder. Exceptions can be made through prior coordination with the control tower. I am a controller at La Guardia airport and our class bravo airspace includes all of Manhattan and the Hudson River. This is the busiest airspace in the world and someone should not be operating ANYTHING in that airspace without the knowledge of the control tower, it is irresponsible and outright dangerous. I love this hobby and I defend it every step of the way but this is wrong, period.

Great point.. I do have a question for people in that area to fly Rc r they restricted to certain area and r they allowed the 400' feet. The other thing that bothers me though why the FAA waited this long. I think they should have put a stop to it right away and maybe thrown there standard 10k fine at them. If there was an incident or if this was a second offense then ok give them the big fine. Having a commercial pilots license and loving RC I have mixed feelings on things. I'm sure your in the same boat sometimes. Thanks for the info chris

There are a couple of flying fields in the area but the are outside the initial 5 or 6 mile ring around the airport and they have to be licensed by the operators of the field and must remain below 400ft agl. I just finished listening and I second Andre's thoughts on the scout...it was the 1st plane that I had success with and was an easy build and alot of fun to fly! I also got a chance to build a Bloody Baron and all I can say is wow! I would recommend it to anyone as a 1st 4 channel experience, just use the lighter power pack and some 1500-1600mah batteries and it is a dream to fly. I used my 2200mah packs and it flew well too but I did have to carry more speed to keep it up.
