A simple "controlled experiment" to compare simple linear polarized antennas and circular polarized antennas.
Everyone agrees that circular polarization is a big improvement for our video links and there are already tons of evidence to show it. I just wanted to see for myself what difference it makes when putting videos side by side.
The experiment was made by successively using the different antennas and flying a few minutes. The results are quite clear and show what you can expect when changing the stock antennas for circular polarized antennas.
The circular polarized antennas I am using are a Cloverleaf antenna on the TX and a Skew-Planar Wheel antenna on the RX. I built these antenna myself without any specific equipment to tune them (so they are probably far from optimal).
