Flyzone DHC-2 Beaver

The Flyzone DHC-2 Beaver is available as a RTF (ready-to-fly) and TX-R (Transmitter-ready) versions! 

A Tactic TTX600 6 Channel 2.4 GHz radio with SLT is included as well.


AnyLink allows you to use your own controller with the TX-R version.


This RC airplane also features conventional landing gear with a steerable tail wheel and this plane includes floats... steerable floats! Great for water or even snow landings.

Tinted windows in the canopy reveal a detailed cockpit with seats and a display panel.  The Beaver also has working navigation and landing lights.  



Carbon fiber spares reinforce the wings which are setup with flaps.


  

This plane has a great look and it flies even better! This foam airplane is setup with a powerful motor which allows for some very fun flying, we had no trouble performing loops, rolls, and knife edges.

Good review with enough discussion to keep it interesting. I would have liked a little more detail of the construction and structure of the model. Do you know how strong the wind was?

I fly off a lake where the wind is always howling, it flies very stable to about 12 mph then it does get pushed around quite a bit. Still in winds above 12 it is very flyable just a great plane.

Looks cool a good park Flyer for sure. I've said it before and I'll say it again I miss a good top wing with a good flap high alph landing it's fun.
Good job guys bring them on more and more.... Do they offer this in a Kit build?

Great review guys. Would like to see more about the build. So many ARFs are now more like kits, it's hard to know exactly what's involved in building a plane without asking someone or watching a review.

I have owned this plane for several months now and everything you have said is true... This plane flys amazing on and off the water. the plane has plenty of power to get off the water even without the flaps. THe only change that I have made is the water rudders are set up very poorly, I took one off and ran a flexible pushrod from the tail rudder to the float rudder... The wings are removable however it is a little fiddley disconecting the flaps and then reconecting them. I live on a lake so there is no need for me to remove the wings. The only other downfall to this plane is the battery compartment is lacated on the bottom so to get the battery out is kind of a chore. All being said this is probably one of my most favorite planes, definitely the best off the water and I own about 20+ (5 of them water planes Like the ICON A5, and a PBY). If your flying off water I highly recommend this plane hell even off the grass this plane is AMAZING.

As always, I love the reviews. I do have one request though... When you say something is "powerful" can you give the rated watts instead of the kV of the motor? Or, for added relevance... power to weight ratio. Just a thought. Anyway... Keep up the great work!

Exellent machine by the look of it. I have liked the dhc-2 beaver for a while now and am glad that this vintige canadian plane has not quite gone from peoples minds just yet. DHC stands for de havilland canada
And as far as fish on the tails i am not sure although i have never seen a picture of one with a fish, they normaly don't have anything on their tales at all as far as i know. The dhc-2 beaver was usd by the canadian forces for carrying stores and supplys as well as being a civil machine.
Also thinking it would be good if you were able to choose out of more than one paint theme as the canadian "army" paint scheme looks quite nice.
Verry good looking machine hope to get it.
