This is part: 8 in our FPV Tutorial Video series. Your First Flight.

Check out this latest video to find out what you need to know to get started flying FPV.
In this tutorial we go over what you need to know when your ready to fly FPV for the first time. So you have your plane all set up. Ground station tested and working and you picked a nice pair of video goggles or decided on a lcd screen to view your first flight.
Now its time to fly right, but wait there is more.

Rules for FPV Pilot with Spotter

1. Pre Flight Check. ( Check everything works )
2. Make sure you have video on your ground station.
3. Fly your plane LOS and let a spotter check your video transmission
(if all is good your ready to fly )
4. Have a spotter launch your plane for you as you will be under the goggles for your first flight as an FPV pilot.

Flying FPV Solo
1. Put Goggles on your head or have LCD screen near you to put on or look when your ready.
2. Launch Plane with Goggles up only. ( Once you practice a bit then try goggles down )
3. Fly plane LOS get to a nice altitude then pull the goggles down.
( If you have a chair take a seat and relax )
4. Take it easy and fly in the area you know. Flying low is better for finding the plane if you get lost. ( Plane finders are nice if this happens )

Landing:
Land with speed and take a nice long approach. Last thing you want is to stall the plane after a great flight and crash feet from where you stand.

We hope this has helps you when building your first FPV plane or quad and taking to the air for the first time flying FPV.
