Balancing Your Plane

Pity I hadn't watched this before the maiden of my first rc flight today. To eager to try it out Hobbyking Geebee foamy. Fun putting it together finding out how to mix ailerons and all that. Take off all out of control wild loop and in a tree. Another wild take off and slewing everywhere no chance to trim crash bang snapped motor shaft.order a couple of new motors from hobbyking and search out what was wrong. Now I know after seeing your video. Cheers thanks for the info next time out should be better. I hope

Hey guys..just wanted to say thank you for all the informative and detail oriented videos...truly a "pearl" for those of us that are visual learners! Just had a question about balancing planes. I understand the method for balancing a park flyer...but how do you go about balancing say an ESM 82" Hurricane or the Hangar 9 Taylorcraft 80" with a 30cc engine and a tank of fuel? Ive read forums but just not getting the answers I need to feel confident to reproduce the methods accurately and safely. Thanks guys.

The background music and clicking drives me crazy. It adds nothing and gets in the way of the narrative. Please consider removing background music from your videos.

To find the proper cg of a plane that you have never flown is the widest part of the cross section of the wing. This is the bit with more curve which gives the plane lift.
