Awesome vid! 150% ? I thought I was the only one blowing up ft build plans. As of right now I am building a 115% ft Slinger ! And Duster ! Only 115% due to my motor size limit. But I have built many 125% ft Bloody Wonders. The Slinger is 48" wingspan. What wingspan is your ft versa?

What size foam board are you using? It seems like the standard 20 x 30 would not accommodate too big of an increase in size fom the original plans.

Hey iflyfoam2112, im working on setting up cameras to make "Tips" videos. So ill post them later, but to answer your question. What I do , is I blow up my plans by 120% .then I lay out my wing plan from center of it to the edge of a 24" x30" dollartree foam board. Trace it out, then do the same for the other side. Make all the score cuts. Before you do the leading edge bevel cut, lay both halfs joined togeter, as if forming to be an entire wing. Cut side down, put packing tape along where the leading edge bend is going to be. ( I do this step to all my leading edges, adds so much impact resistance.) Now flip it over and cut your bevel , as one long single piece wing. Its a little bit of a hassle at first but sooo worth it, when you finish!! And the larger plane doesnt add much of overall weight. Since theres more wing area , the planes fly more stable and glide forever tooo ! Hope this helps.

That's awesome. Thanks a bunch for the response. I accidentally ordered a HUGE (read "huge" in Davids voice) motor and I have been looking for a platform to fly with it. I had it on a Synapse flying wing, but it was was too much motor and nearly cost me a finger during a hand launch. I think a giant scale Versa wing with some cameras may be a better solution. It will still be over powered, but a little less so.
Again, thanks for the advise and I look forward to seeing a tips video.

Thanks for the response! I thought I was going to be done building for a while and just have a chance to fly my creations, and now I find this. I better call my local Dollar Tree and have them stock up a bit. It is going to be a long productive winter. I love the idea of a bigger scale Versa wing and I love it even more with the internal LEDs.
Hopefully I will find time to post some videos and build logs of my own. You all have given me some great ideas.

Hey 2112, just want to give you one very helpful Tip. What I have found is that I push my builds hard , so I crash alot. I used to crumple my wings bad.but what I do now , and works like a charm , is. When I bend my leading edge, to meet my spare. Instead of using hot glue on the leading edge, I use (Gorilla glue ) the white , not the brown. It says " dries white 2X faster " on the bottle. Be careful though, it expands 2 -3 times its size. Justtt rub a damp table towel on the foam, ( dries quicker and more even), then apply it on. Hot glue the rest of the wing , like normally would. This glue dries on the leading edge , like EPO foam. And when wing hits a tree, there is no damage. Tough as Nails. Hope this helps. Happy Flying!

Can you give more specifics on how you did the LED's? What did you buy, and how did you wire?

Search for 3528 LED on eBay. There's all the primary colors and and full RGB one. Should be about $8 per color for 5 meters.
