CONNEX Falcore HD Racing Drone | First Impressions

While Josh, Alex and Christian were down in Sebring, Fla., they had the opportunity to visit the U.S. Sport Aviation Expo and check out some experimental aircraft and drones.

One of their favorites was the CONNEX Falcore HD Racing Drone. Not only did they get to test out the Falcore in the CONNEX tent, but they had the chance to test it out in open space to really see how it soars.

What we find unique about the Falcore is that not only is it easy for a beginner to fly while in shield mode, and advanced drone pilot can take full control in acro mode and take advantage of all capabilities. It truly is a racing drone that can grow with a pilot!

Modes and functions

Shield mode

In shield mode, the Faclore mixes roll and yaw while holding a fixed altitude, allowing the pilot to push the quad around with one stick. Even beginners can fly this with ease!

Horizon mode

In this mode, you have the ability to control the yaw, throttle and pitch. The different is if you take your fingers off the sticks, even if the Falcore is upside down, it will self-level. After that you can easily go back into flying!

Acro mode

You have full control over the drone in this mode. If you take your fingers off the sticks, it will hold it's attitude until you correct it, or it crashes. Your throttle stick directly controls the rpm (rotations per minute) of your motors and there is no altitude hold function as it does on most racing mini quads. This mode is for advanced drone pilots only.

Auto stop and land function

The Falcore has a button that you can push, which will gradually bring the drone back to earth and land even if flying at a higher altitude or if you’re coming out of a loop. Note: stop and land is available in all modes.

Is this the racing drone for you?

That is completely up to you. Like we said before, it is a drone that a beginner can grow with or it is one that an advanced pilot can really rip through the air. If you decide this is the perfect drone for you, it does come at a higher cost of $799.

However, the entire package comes with the following:

  • Fully-assembled racing drone
  • Remote controller
  • HD video link
  • LiPo battery
  • Multi-tool (for propeller assembly)
  • (HDMI goggles are not included, but are needed for FPV flight—need a 720P compatible goggles or monitor for FPV)

We found a detailed website where you can get all the information you could possibly need before making the decision to purchase the Falcore, and also information and videos that will be helpful for you as you get familiarized with it. Get that information here.

超級棒的,對初學者,但價格很貴,又不能使用它牌子的遙控器,希望他能出可以使用他牌遙控器的版本。

Because that is what the FAA calls it.
