Josh and Alex share some options for starting out in FPV multi-rotor flying!
There are a couple of options when it comes to transmitting FPV video.
The Glimpse FPV HD offers a ready-to-fly package that will allow you to get into FPV flying when paired with a smart phone and uses WiFi to transmit the FPV signal at a very affordable price.
At Flite Test, we generally fly most of our FPV with a 5.8GHz setup which requires a receiver or FPV googles as well as a downlink recorder if you want to record the signal.
The Blade Nano QX FPV is a nice option, if you're willing to invest in more advanced equipment. The good part with this investment is that you will have the gear needed as you grow. Things like a set of Fat Shark Teleporter V4 5.8GHz headset, which can be used with more advance FPV flying setups.
The Glimpse FPV HD offers a great platform for beginners who are getting into FPV flying. It's a much more cost-effective option and will give you the practice and skills you need as you grow in your multi-rotor flying, and unlike the Blade Nano, the Glimpse FPV HD allows you to record your FPV video in HD!
When paired with your smartphone, the Glimpse FPV HD will give you an FPV experience over Wifi where you can view live and playback later.
We wanted to share the difference with flying FPV via WiFi and compare it to a 5.8GHz setup with the Ultra Micro FPV Camera and Video Transmitter unit.
If you'd want to experiment with the 5.8GHz FPV setup, you could build your own Micro Camera! Peter shares how in this tutorial HERE!
You can learn more about the Glimpse FPV HD HERE!
I hope he'll be there a lot in future episodes.
I think the Blade Glimpse is a great little thing for the money but I'd still go for the nano QX FPV because I don't like the delay in it and 5.8 GHZ has no interference from wifi routers.

When i started watching FT ~2-3 years back i remember Josh and Josh and David as the balance that made FT interesting.. The crazy swede (i'm from sweden, so ofc i like to see another swede on the show), the cheap knowhow Josh, and the completely newbie Josh (which i could relate to).
Good episode for the new newbs! :)
