I might do a build video on this soon... Until then.... This is what I did.
I got the tripod from walmart. Then cut a 1 x 4 inch board drill holesmthen attached the board to the tripod with zipties. Then attached two Screw-In Tool Hangers to hold the monitor, http://www.walmart.com/ip/Lehigh-SH13-25-Screw-In-Tool-Hanger/19870521

It goes blue after a certain percentage of loss. It will flicker a little when I get to the edge of my range. There is a setting on the television for blue screen or static in the menu.

Sweet! The tripod mount you are using to hold the TV, where did you get it?

Hello

I like what you did here and I want yo do the same with a similar TV and build it into a pelican case. I assume the screen has a brightness of 250 nits as most do, it looks like yours is bright enough. I was going to add more leds to my screen to get it a little brighter, do you think that's necessary?

This screen is plenty bright. You might notice the shadow on the ground...We are in the shade of a metal cover at the airfield. It is still very bright sunlight and we see perfectly When we fly in the direct light I just add a simple folded cardboard Shade to the top and sides secured with duct tape....
