Yes it is. It uses the same electronics and power pod as the FT Mighty Mini series. It's called the Baby Baron and the there are free build plans available. You can find all the detail in my article:

For anybody wondering how Dan applies the decals:

Basic Directions:
Print out on plain white US Letter size paper (you need to print 2 copies of page 2 for the wings). Cut out to the inside of the cut (dashed) lines. Apply spray adhesive (I use 3M Supper 77, but others will work fine). Apply to your airframe (see the first page for reference on where to apply each graphic). Cover the graphics with clear packing tape. Use colored packing tape to complete your plane.

They are available on the original set of plans, and you can obtain this material from hobby shops that carry "peel and stick" MonoKote.

This is a great build! I finished scratch-building my Baron airframe a few days ago, but Real Life is keeping me from doing the electronics and other remaining bits. It went together really well, and provided a great opportunity to try building with the Ross foamboard I got at Wal-Mart. I hear it's more durable than DTFB, so hopefully we'll find out soon! ;-) It's quite nice to build with.

Sponz, thanks for putting so much thought into the Baron design. I'm really looking forward to the first launch!

Has anyone built a larger version of this plane? Would like to have something with about a 40" wingspan or so and use an E-flite 450 motor.

i just finished building this and being my second build it went together very smooth and flew incredibly it is very durable a can slow down to a snail's pace. I would definitely recommend this as a second plane. GREAT job dan and keegan

What does 100% and 60% travel mean? I use Futaba and I usually set my plane's end points by degrees using a pitch gauge.
