FTHQ Tour - Viewer Response

by FliteTest | August 21, 2013 | (28) Posted in News

We posted a message on our facebook page to hear what some of you would like to see as an episode.  A Tour of the Flite Test Headquarters was one of the top responses.

Stay tuned for the upcoming episodes and projects and continue sharing your feedback with what you'd like to see!

Our Product Manager Alex Zvada photographs all of the products in our web store, along with working in the laser production area, Alex creates all of the graphic design on the Flite Test insert cards.

Here we have some Rotor Bones being made.

Chad's office is still under construction and is currently the room we've been using to test out some mics.

Flite Test podcast maybe?  Let us know if you'd like us to create a podcast!

Thanks for all of your support!

Thank you for the encouraging and inspiring videos. I always look forward to seeing them.

Boomerangs are awesome. I highly recommend the triangular one made by Aerobie called the Orbiter. You can usually find them in sporting goods stores.
Here is the website: aerobie.com/products/orbiter.htm

It is a unique experience to throw something away from you, and actually have it come back to you.

I would love to see more about those laser cutters in future episodes. Even a whole episode or more on setup and use. Very interested in this!

Hey Flite Test team.

You guys have like the coolest jobs in the world. It is always important to do what you love. You derive so much more energy and satisfaction out of it. Your love for what you do shows through in your production and it spreads out to all your viewers. Great job guys. Keep it going.

Podcasts would be great, but I'd prefer you spend your time continuing makeing videos instead. Still, some subjects would be more efficient audio only?

I like that idea. Some projects might be better suited for the podcast format while the videos give a better experience. I am not sure what you could really talk about either. Though that would be great for on the go and working/building models and such, I don't know what would be an interesting subject that could be discussed without video.

I agree a podcast would be great but only if it does not take away from video content. I would love to listen to something on the way to work.

Exactly. It has to be explainable yet not require or be better suited with video.

It is my goal to build a viable DLG out of foamboard before David (or Josh) does. With your next few episodes drawn out, it sounds like I have plenty of time. ... But I think I'll have to setter for a decent hand launch glider. Especially since I'm going for something small without any dihedral.

Keep up the great work and I fully appreciate all of the hard work you guys do. I look forward to seeing David's glider that he is working on.

Would love to hear how the sound & video guys capture the episodes. What equipment, tips, editing work flow, creating intros, etc. Great job as always!

They have already made a video on the equipment they use. Just search Behind the Scenes... But I would also appreciate the tips and editing as well as how they created the intro.

http://www.segway.com/ I think you guys need this to help you get around fast in your business. I like the informal format of you video great effects. Tell David his work area is radical and wish mine looked that clean, will go down and photography my studio and share it with you guys.

I freaking love you guys! Mon and Wed (well really Tues and Thurs) are my favorite days of the week! Cause I get a new video to watch! Even the quick ones like this are fun, I agree with chrisloh's comment, you do have the best job in the world! Keep coming up with new things, re-visiting old, etc. I love it. You've inspired me and my friends to build! If i wasn't married I'd come and beg you guys for an un-paid internship. Keep living the dream!

is Mr. Bixler's son's birthday the 21 or the 22. It would be cool if it was the 22 because that's my birthday too.

David, to get the boomerang to come back to you, you have to throw it more vertically-almost like a hatchet- or - maybe somewhat like a overhead samurai slice :). If you throw it horizontally it goes way up high and comes back fast like both your throws. Also always throw into the wind just like takeoff.
I like the idea of a podcast, but I would like it better if you mainly focussed on making these great videos. As a last word, I would greatly like to see a video of the thunder tiger heli you walk past several times in the video. Keep up the great work FT!

I agree on the comment about the podcast. Maybe combining both and make a podcast with a video, not only with an audio?

Chad you came off really relaxed in this episode. Your love of the hobby really came out in this episode. Can't wait to see the hot air balloon episode.

Your group is a strange mix of very intelligent sometimes professional, sometimes goofy, but always entertaining individuals.

Your shop is amazing and videos and kits over the top it's nice to see even more DIY coming back to the community. Especially when rc is often a very elitist hobby do to cost and difficulty.

This is kinda odd. I really love your work tables do you mind posting dimensions they look fantastic.

Thank you for all of your hard work

A couple of patio heaters, add some ski's and you'll have a great winter flying site
