Fun fast plane

Hi, in this article I build a plane design that I have had in my head for some time. This balsa wood glider has been in the garden but you get the idea.

Just by the way, I did not take many photos of this build, so I hope you get the idea.

So let's get started:

As always, I began by sketching out the fuselage shape on a foam board.

Then I cut it out.

After making the side walls, I glued them together with 5cm strips of foam board.

I then made the front scoop with an old cardboard pipe.

I started the tail by cutting out the elevator.

As you can see, the back of the elevator is connected with some balsa wood sticks.

I did this because I liked the way it looked.

To stop the rudder from hitting the elevator, I cut a slot,

I also thought it looked cool.

Then I cut control horns from a Tictac box, drilled holes in them

and glued them in.

I added rudder supports.

Then I tested the electronics and made a power pod.

This photo is from a different plane(bf109 article) but I forgot to take a photo of this plane's power pod.

At this point of the build, I thought I should look at my wing, which in this case is an old green monster wing.

The predecessor to this model, but smaller.

The next step was to install the servos for the wing. After that, I installed the tail servos.

In this build, I planned to attach the wing with rubber bands.

In this photo, you can see that the plane is almost done.

All that is left is to install the power pod and go fly but before that, I stole a canopy from another plane called the Fish and glued it onto this model.

Oh, and I gave it a cool paint job.

Well, that's all for this one, I hope you enjoyed this, as much as I did making it.

So, by.
