-This is a very safe way to transport and store your expensive transmitter, and all your LiPo’s and charger, tools and other equipment.
-First thing you will need is an Aluminum briefcase with die cut foam inserts -$30 at Menards
-Second thing is a roll of Sill Seal, (it can be found in building materials section) Also at Menards -$4
-THAT’S IT!
- Next step: Position all your electronics in the most efficient way into the box, so you can fit the maximum amount of your STUFF into it, leaving about 2-3 squares on foam in between everything. Ensure a snug fit and make sure nothing is loose, as you can see I had to add a row of foam back in because the pocket I cut was too loose to hold my charger.
- Put in all of your electronics after you have pulled out or cut your pockets.
- The one I got also came with a tool pouch, It works great for holding props and cords too.
- Using the roll of Sill Seal, cut 3 strips or as many as you need to span the with of the case to line the top of all of your electronics and hot glue the edges together. Punch holes for your transmitter’s control sticks and switches.
- After that, using the scrap foam you pulled from your pockets, cover up the sticks and switches to protect them when you close the box, also put a taller section of foam in the center to keep a space between the top and bottom of the case while it’s closed.
- That’s it!
-A very cheap and effective way to transport your valuable RC equipment between the field and your workbench, or just for storage. Have fun flying!
Here is a link to order the case online if you cant find it at any local stores.
