Hughes 500 Scale Heli - TIPS

by FliteTest | December 4, 2013 | (17) Posted in Tips

Today, we welcome Bill Blair from whirlybirdvideo.com

This is Bill's HUGE! Hughes 500 E-model.

On the inside this heli contains an Align 600, but on the outside it screams Magnum P.I.!

Cockpit view of the scale control module.

Strobe lights adorn both the top and bottom of this heli.

The lights are controlled by the MPI ACC248 Dual Strobe System.

To beef up the audible aspect of the electric system, Bill added the Shockwave Sound Module from Model Sounds Inc.

Speakers on the bottom of the fuselage pump out the turbine and rotor sounds, along with some other cool surprises!

To compensate for the cone shaped tail, Bill implements a flex rod to control the tail rotor.

Thanks again to Bill Blair for coming to visit and showing us his beautiful heli, and thanks to you for watching!

Check out more from Bill here!

Also, chat it up on the forums!
