My first 1600mm P47 flight

After the Josh's review of the 1600 mm EPO P47 I just wanted one.. So I ordered the plane @ Hobbyking and got it the next week. I assembled the plane (which was pretty straightforward except for the tailwheel which needed a lot of tweaking and messing about with wires) and did some basic testing. After that we were off to the field!

The above video shows footage of that first flight. I am only a beginner in flying so it seemed like a good idea to do a student-trainer setup (Thanx to my good friend Erik :-) ). I have to say that after the first 2 nervewrecking minutes I started to relax a bit. The plane flies very stable and predictable. Also the looks are astonishing. I landed it without the flaps (afraid to take my eyes off the plane for one second to find the switch :-)) but that was no problem at all.

It is a transport disaster (even with detached wing) but all in all a beautiful and easy-to-fly plane with which I hope to have a lot of fun!
