My first attempt at building the Ft swappables.

I recently got into the hobby and came across the Josh and Josh. It was cool to see how much these guys enjoyed the hobby. So I watched video after video and got hooked when I saw the scracth build series. These swapplables are awesome and I cant wait to get them finished so I can fly them. The Ft Flyer was the first I built (bult a second in blue for my Dad) and did the delta second. Started on the baby blender and will have that posted when I get farther along with it.

A few veiws of my Ft Flyer. Went with a 2 tone and kept it fairly simple for my first design on foam board. Did different patterns on top and bottom to help out with orientation in the air. Ordered the wrong motor for this, got a 2200kv. Ordered a smaller motor and will use this power pod for the blender im building.

Decided to build a simple wall hanger for the flyer to keep it out of the hands of my 3 year old. A few 90 elbows and about 10 inches of 1/2" pvc pipe did the trick. Drilled a few hole and added a little color and it hold s the flyer up nice.

Decided to try out some color packing tape on the delta. The tape add a little weight but really gives it a nice look. If you dont overdue the tape it wont add to much more weight than what paint will. Trimming the edges where the tape overlaps was the hardest part. If you take your time and keep your razorblades fresh it will turn out really nice. Still kept it fairly simple and will experiment on more designs when i build more planes. Again did different designs on top and bottom to tell which way Im going when flying.

jkishan16 the wheel is 15mm and the tire is 33mm. They are replacement wheels for a parkzone plane, don't remember which one though. tmask32 I just got the Bixler 2 put thogether yesterday, I will have to look at your post to see what you did so I can hang my bixler out of the way. The wingspan on the bixler is bigger than I imagined, barely fits in the backseat of my car.
