Hey guys, Colton here from AudaciousRC! After flying around my Phoenix Hunter line of sight for a while, I finally got around to testing out FPV with it. The 900mhz system i had originally installed with a dedicated camera was giving me some troubles, so i ripped it out and threw on the Immersion 600mw 5.8ghz vTx from my crashed y6 hexacopter. We threw the Phoenix Hunter and Lee's Phoenix in the back of my truck and ran over to Watson Lake to try out some formation flying. We had a ton of fun and got some pretty good shots. My plane is insanely powerful now with the bigger prop. Unlimited Vertical. Enjoy the flight footage!
Unfortunately, as you'll see from the end of the video, Lee lost a control rod on his right elevon, resulting in a catostrophic nose dive. We quickly learned that the FT Versa doesn't make a good grass-submarine.
Luckily, the only damage was to the blunt section of the wing (thankyou insulation foam!) To check out some build tips to make your FT Versa this durable, go look at Lee's Phoenix build article -> http://flitetest.com/articles/blunt-nose-versa-modifications-fpv-phoenix-v2

Now i get to joke to Lee that the Phoenix Hunter is up 1 to 0 on the Phoenix...(;
