On the day after Halloween I had finally gotten off my sugar high and was now craving some flying. So I decided to go check if the usual people were out flying at the school. Unfortunately I didn't see any so I called up Josh and asked if he wanted to come and film for a review of the Hobbyking Versus DLG (which should be out soon). He was up for it and so he biked over to Harper where I had my DLG and tricopter just in case. We filmed some intros and several throws, but then I nosed the glider into the ground and the servo tray cracked loose and of course I had forgotten my super glue. So I biked back to my house and got the super glue and some snacks, but when I got back there were two other people out flying. I was so excited. I showed them the DLG and watched as they flew their flying wings and Sukhois. One of the guys wanted to fly my DLG so I let him. But then the glider came out and I had to get some FPV video of that. So I quickly set up my tri and got up in the air. It was amazing to chase! It was so smooth and predictable flying that I could get really close without worrying that I would get hit. I was flying for about 5 minutes and then one of the guys started chasing the glider with his mini flying wing and this just added to the excitement. There was also a Hobbyking racer flying and sometimes there was just too much happening at the same time to handle. It was a blast. But then on one of the passes I did on the glider I got a little too close and smacked right into it's side, knocking off the canopy and slicing a half inch into the aileron. Amazingly both the glider and my tricopter were perfectly fine, but I made sure to land and check the props and other things like that.
