On the last day of school with no 8th graders around with the exception of some diehard foam fighters, we received a package in the mail from the team over at Gearbest.com of our first WIFI FPV capable quadcopter. The first look of the quad was that it had to be worth a ton, but then to find out it only costs 75.00$ We couldn't beleive it and was excited to open, assemble, charge and then go fly this thing. Ashton and Jake happened to be there and they wanted the review all to themselves, I happily accepted and let the two do it all themselves with no help or guidance. SO IF THEY MISSED A FEW THINGS, go easy on them, they actually did a pretty good job.
The boys had a great time flying it around and really putting the quad through the test and it held up perfect. It was actually kind of hard to ruin because it constantly wants to keep you level during flight, so when you let go of the sticks it just bounces you back into stable mode. So it made it perfect for someone like Ashton who never flies quad easy to get into and fly around. Having FPV just brings a whole other level of fun to mix, in fact, I was using it to do hallway duty on the last passing period of the day, it was very effective and it though the students for a loop seeing a quad hover in the hallway.Believe it or not this quad is going to be perfect for next years students when learning the sticks and orientation of flying multirotors, we are forsure going to purchase a few more of these in the future to help out with the training prior to moving into the 250 and above rotors.
