I crashed my first plane at 13 years old. It was a 58'' Sig Cadet Mk II gasser. I didn't even know what the ailerons were supposed to do as it was speeding down the runway. It was airborne for about 20 seconds before it spiraled to it's death in my middle-school parking lot. I have no regrets (maybe I did then), as I gained some fantastic build experience that I've carried with me to this day. 35 years later, I started RC-ing again and have just as much fun building as I do flying.
