I've spent 21 years in mechanical design and project management. I started flying electric RC airplanes when my friend gave me a Hobbyzone Champ for my 40th birthday, and I've been hooked since. My current "store bought" planes include a DeHavilland Beaver, Cessna Corvalis, Flyzone Sensei, and Dynam F4U Corsair. I've made several scratch built FT planes, but only the P-51 and Edge 540 are currently surviving. I've been working on a couple of my own designs. One is a sport plane patterned roughly after a Sig 4 Star 120, and the other is a trainer patterned after the Telemaster. I've recently gotten into 3D printing, so I've been working on multiple part designs to hopefully improve the durability of my scratch builds.
