In this episode, Josh and Peter show you how to rig a small quadcopter with the Hyperion mini 600 TVL camera to fly FPV!
Using FPV on a small platform like the Blade Inductrix or Blade Nano is a great way to start learning to fly FPV without breaking the bank.
The Hyperion camera plugs directly into the model’s receiver for power and weighs 4.5 grams. It’s smaller than a thimble and has an ideal signal range for small park flyers or racing quads.
To attach the camera to the Blade Nano, start by cutting 2–2.5 inches from the lead. Measure the unit before you cut to make sure your cord is long enough to reach where it needs to go.
Remove the flight controller board from the quad so the solder points are easily accessible.
Double check your polarity so you solder the correct wires together. In this case, we soldered the red to the white because the white was positive and the black was negative.
When you finish soldering, plug the battery leads back in and glue the camera on. Then put the canopy back on and you're ready to fly!
If you’re rigging the Inductrix for FPV, take the cover off so you can access the solder points, solder the wires and glue the camera on.
Once your mini FPV quad is ready, fly through a course like the one Peter created, or make your own and share with us!
PDF PLANS FOR PETER'S RACE COURSE WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON!

I fly FPV in my shop with my Hubsan X107 D all winter long it is fun. If you cannot afford to buy a ready made micro FPV camera setup I built this one http://www.drone-maniac.com/diy-cheap31usd-and-lightweight7-4g-200mw-5-8g-fpv-kit-with-widelens-and-cl-antenna/ and put it in my Hubsan when the stock transmitter went out, the whole thing fit under the hood except antenna.

I built the micro fpv project 1 year or so ago when you came up with it. I bought the parts and my cousin did the soldering... we built 3 micro 5.8ghz fpv sets (one for a UMX radian and 2 more for mini quads... but we always got a lot of noise when trying to feed it from the main battery of the aircraft. So we use them but we need an extra battery that in the case of the UMX radian is not a problem...(the plane has enough power to take off) but with one nano qx we put the micro fpv set on... we have balance issues /COG problems and it is difficult to fly it...though the image is crisp!...as good as it can get... PLEASE.... How can I avoid the RF noise?... I built two with dip switches and one with a fixed channel frequency for the goggles. Am I stuck with extra batteries for these 5.8ghz fpv sets?
