The FT Cruiser is a great flying aircraft.  Loves to go fast and sure looks cooling doing so; is equally capable of slow flight for putting around, and basic acrobatics.  Absolutely can not live without a fair amount of nose weight.  Double check CG and add a touch more, fly's incredibly stable with the extra weight from the gopro way out front.  Furthermore, this extra weight translates into the balance being right over the gear or just in front of, best to rake gear forward or mount and rake gear forward(still a minor issue I have).  The Cruiser likes to nose over on landings & fast taxi.  You will need to be Jonny on the spot getting the flaps off and the tail down.  Basically flying the craft to a complete stop, as we all should. =D.
I also had some hiccups in the beginning with a bad RX, and losing a motor do to a bad solder on my speed control.  I can attest to the Cruisers crash survivability, LOL. Again awesome build, and a big thanks to the Flite Test Crew.

My current set up is stock build with upgraded power system & beefed up landing gear.; running on Suppo 2217/9's 950kv powered by 2x 2200mah(one per motor, primary and slave set up) lipos, and 40 amp speed controls.  Presently turning 10x6x3 Master air screws, generating 350w at 110%. Empty weight is 1046g/2.31lb, W/Batts 1405g/3.10lb W/Batts&GoPro 1501g/3.31lb.  Aggressive flying in all conditions limited to 8min's with the batts. clocking in at 3.78 per cell.  Cowl and dummy engines harvested from Guillow's Fokker Dr.1 kit number 204.  Painted with Krylon Gumdrop on upper, and Almond on bottom, markings are acrylic gun metal gray.

Aluminum tape design removed because of RX interference.  On a positive note saved 50+grams.
