Low wing baby blender with undercamber wing tips

I was building my third baby blender when after seeing alibopos tribewt ,I decided to make it a low wing plane. I made a wing as per plans but used a full 30" wide airfoil instead of 24" and added 5" undercambered wingtips like the ft spitfire. Flies amazing. Its very stable, doesnt stall or tip stall, and has a nice glide slope. will fly fast and slows down well. I was very impressed with the spitfire undercambered wingtips and will be adding them to more builds.

I'm excited to see more experimenting with this style of building,I've been flying a low wing armin this summer with great success. Now I think it's time to try to make planes more attractive and durable. There's got to be a easy way to paint foam board has anyone tried polyurethane paints if clr works why not some colors.

Ive been meaning to pick of a can of the oil based urethane. There is a video posted somewhere on flitest. You coat your foamboard first and it will take paint easier and will also be water resistant. I have an orange blender that I used valspar spray paint on from lowes. It only took two coats and looked very good. You have to spray it on light if you dont pretreat the foamboard with urethane.

I like it! Impressive flying - I don't have the flight time to fly my Tribewt like that, but I'm getting there. Neat idea with the under camber extensions. I suppose the next evolution is the flat wing with dihedral under camber extensions?

hanlks Its been a busy summer here and havent been able to get out and fly much. I spend alot of time on simulators when i cant get out to fly and that has helped alot. plus crashing a 4 dollar foamboard plane helps. I try new things dont mind as much when i crash.. I was really impressed with how the undercamber on the tips helped with tipstalls and overall flying. It seems to be a design that works well - See more at: http://flitetest.com/articles/low-wing-baby-blender-with-undercamber-wing-tips#sthash.514vIi3A.dpuf

This thing looks and flies like a mini Astrohog. It's an Astroblender. Love it.
