Dear Flite Test fans, its bin a while I post my last article at this web site. Its good to see many active members although articles are not the main page anymore. Now to the article.

Now days we are using carbon fibers to reinforce something or use tubes and plates to build frames from. Problem is that plates on arms block the wind from propeller simply because its big flat area under. My idea is to 3Dprint only mount for the motor and points to mout arm to the frame. These two points can be connected together by one continuous carbon fiber wire to make complete arm. From my test results arm done this way is guite stiff and light. Lets take a look on some pictures:

I made complete instructions on thingiverse where you can also download 3D files: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1549774

This technique can be used on different parts like OpenRC wishbone http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1549768

Complete tutorial can be found on Instructables http://www.instructables.com/id/Super-Strong-3D-Component-Carbon-Fiber-Parts/ I will be rally glad for votes on this tutorial (right top corner "vote" button), It will really help me to do simmilar projects and research.

Thank you,

Petr.
