Tidewater Seaplane - REVIEW

Today Austin, Alex, Josh, and our friend Peter venture off land with the Flyzone Tidewater

The Tidewater is a great introduction to amphibious flight. It has forgiving flight characteristics while still retaining the capability for minor aerobatics.

One great design aspect are the smaller floats on the wings which prevent the wingtips from dipping into the water while steering on the surface.

Wether flying off water or grass the Tidewater can do it all!

If you are interested in our extremely complex boat-cam setup, we taped a Mobius to a stick. Enjoy the screens below!

The only downside to your battery dying on the water is you can't just walk out and get it.

Fortunatly for us, there were a few friendly fishermen on the waters that day. Thanks again random dudes!

Overall the Flyzone Tidewater was a blast to fly. The price can be a little disheartening for some but if you don't mind the tag we recommend trying this for yourself!

As always, thank you all for your continued support! If you're looking for a cheaper way to try out some floats and see if it's for you, check out our Snowball Conversion Kit for your FT Nutball.

+1 to the Polaris! BTW, why don't you review any of the models of JetSet from RC Groups, even better, invite him to the show, his models are soooo well designed and he is such a great guy supporting people in the hobby that it would fit to Flitetest right in.

On the note of that 2 second mentioning of the Aurora 9X, I'd love to see a review on that transmitter

I love that moment when Bixler remembers that they planned on talking about specs more, after he already wanted to run off and put it into the water :D

Thanks a lot for this, I'd really like to see more amphibious planes on FT! The Icon A5 review was how I got here in the first place...

Great review, and good to see Mr. Foam & Tape. I have seen a few of his videos, and they are very enjoyable. Nice to see him hang out with you guys. Alex: You were cracking me on this episode, but good job catching the footage over the water... I know they heart racing feeling... but great job guys.
